It can be intimidating trying to find the perfect pet before having the chance to get to know them in your home, so luckily the staff at the Animal Rescue League of Boston is happy to do that for you!
“After spending time with Brownie I was able to get a feel for what it would be like if this affectionate, loveable and quirky pup were my own. If you’re worried about disturbing neighbors, rest assured Brownie is not a barker. She enjoys quietly observing the neighborhood buzz rather than barking at it. As far as her activity within the house, Brownie loves having someone to follow around (that’s if she’s not busy rolling around with her toys or squirrel-watching from your window.) This gentle 2 year-old mixed breed has all the attributes a future dog owner could desire. She is attentive and obedient, only crawling onto the couch or into bed once invited. Brownie will sleep through the night at your side or peacefully in her own bed until you’re ready to start your day with her. Most importantly, Brownie is house trained, so you don’t have to worry about coming home to any surprises.
Brownie benefits greatly from exercising daily. If you’re a runner she will eagerly trot alongside you and does best with her gentle leader. She doesn’t take much interest in dogs or people passing by so you don’t have to worry about being slowed down. If you’re not a runner Brownie won’t mind as long as she gets a few good walks in for the day!
Brownie is the perfect fit for almost any home, she gets along well with other playful dogs and loves cuddling with her human companions. If you’re interested in giving Brownie the forever home she deserves, contact our Boston shelter to meet her…She will be patiently waiting!” – Mandy Pleshaw, Veterinary Technician at BVC
