Final care is a sensitive and important time in the life of a family pet and no one understands the depth of the human-animal bond quite like ARL.
Located next to the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s (ARL) Dedham Animal Care & Adoption Center, Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery is the oldest continuously operated pet cemetery by a humane society in the United States.
Established in 1907, ARL’s Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery is situated on the beautiful grounds of the former summer sanctuary for the city’s working horses – and summer home to ARL’s founder, Anna Harris Smith. In fact, Anna’s own beloved pets were among the first to be buried here.
Cemetery Visiting Hours
ARL’s Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk.
