2010 Adoptions: 1,553 and Counting
Through June 30, the total number of adoptions from the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Boston, Brewster and Dedham shelters is
1,553 with 1,044 cats, 290 dogs and 219 “other” finding forever homes.
Among the 286 animals adopted in June were a chicken, an emu and a Conure named Fruit Loop.
Last month saw 153 adoptions from Boston including 116 cats, 23 dogs, five birds, three guinea pigs (Banana Split, Bella and Gilbert), three hamsters and two rats. Brewster’s 49 animals finding forever homes included 28 cats, 20 dogs and a rabbit. Dedham’s 84 adoptions included 51 cats, 21 dogs five birds, four rabbits and three rats.
