Mobile Adoptions

Through a generous grant from American Humane and PEDIGREE® Food for Dogs, the Animal Rescue League of Boston has expand ed its mobile services with the purchase of a new, state-of-the-art vehicle able to house over 40 adoptable animals.

The Mobile Adoption and Rescue Vehicle (MARV) is the latest addition to our existing fleet of ambulances, our mobile spay/neuter service (the Spay Waggin') and rescue vehicles. MARV allows the ARL of Boston to partner with local and municipal animal shelters to assist those organizations in finding new homes for cats and dogs currently in need of a loving, caring individual or family. The vehicle will also enhance the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s ability to assist city and state officials in providing temporary shelter for pets affected by natural disasters and other emergencies.

MARV has heat and air conditioning so the animals are always kept at a comfortable temperature inside. Hinged awnings provide shade when open and privacy when closed. Each cage is equipped with an individual drain for optimal sanitation and a rubber mat to prevent slipping. Each cage will also have a bed or blanket and toys to help keep the resident animal comfortable.
