Ways to SUPPORT THE ARL OF BOSTON

Your tax-deductible gift to the Animal Rescue League of Boston will help to ensure that animals in distress receive the care they need, as well as a chance to be adopted into a caring home.  In 2011, we must raise more than $2 million from generous donors like you in order to meet our annual operating budget needs.

Make a gift now online

An unrestricted gift gives us the most flexibility to help animals in need.  Gifts of all sizes help us, and we value your gift--whether you are a first-time donor to us or have been supporting us for more than a decade, as a member of the Silver Giving Society.  Note that you can also choose to make your gift in memory of, or in honor of, a person or animal and we will send appropriate notiication to the recipient.

Monthly Giving (Champions Circle)

Your regular monthly contribution as a member of our Champions Circle will provide a dependable source of funds for all the animals in our care. You can help us shelter, rescue, and care for animals in need all year round!

To join the Champions Circle, simply fill out the form with the amount that you wish to make as a regular gift.

President’s Council

The President’s Council of the Animal Rescue League of Boston is a group of dedicated individuals who pledge and make annual leadership gifts of $1,000 and above in order to continue the legacy of Anna Harris Smith, and her belief that “Kindness uplifts the world." Members of the President’s Council will have a unique conduit to the leadership and employees of the League, who work tirelessly on behalf of the animals and people we serve, through special events, gatherings with people of similar commitment, and two-way communication designed to keep you informed of what the League is doing.

CeCe Fund

The CeCe Fund was established in 2006 by Amy Marder, VMD, CAAB, Director of the Center for Shelter Dogs, following the devastating loss of her beloved Australian terrier, CeCe.  The CeCe Fund helps ensure a healthy, happy second chance for unwanted pets who arrive at our shelters with severe but treatable medical, surgical, or behavioral problems. Tribute and Memorial Giving

Many people choose to make gifts to the Animal Rescue League of Boston as a tribute to a person, pet, or occasion.  You may choose to honor a living person or animal, or one who has passed on.  In either situation, we will send an attractive card by postal mail in recognition of the fact that a gift has been made to person you specify. 

You may also choose to make a gift to celebrate an occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, or wedding.  We can supply appropriate certificates or tent cards to display at the event.

Matching Gifts

Many companies support the philanthropic interests of their employees by offering to match your gift either completely or by some multiple or percentage of your donation. Please contact the appropriate representative at your place of work such as your Human Resources department to find out if they match contributions to the Animal Rescue League of Boston. It can be an easy way to make your generosity go even further in helping animals.

Special Workplace Giving

If you are an employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you can also give to the Animal Rescue League of Boston through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Employees Charitable Campaign (COMECC). We also participate in the City of Boston Employees Charitable Campaign (COBECC) and the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).  Please contact the appropriate person at your place of work for details as to how you can support the ARL through these programs.

 
Car Donations

Are you thinking of selling or trading in your old car, boat or RV?  Why not avoid all the headaches and intrusions of selling a used car and donate it to the Animal Rescue League of Boston instead?  Our agent will make arrangements to conveniently and quickly pick-up your vehicle donation at no cost to you.  We handle the title transfer requirements and provide you with a tax deductible receipt at the time of pick-up.

Gifts In Kind

Gifts in kind are non-monetary items that represent value to the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Examples might include computers, veterinary medical apparatus, cameras, shelter specific equipment, and many other items.
