Thank You to the 4th Graders at Dedham Country Day School

On Friday May 9, 2014 the Dedham Country Day School held their annual “Fun Run” which is hosted and organized by Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs. McDonnell’s  4th grade classes.

The “Fun Run” is a 1 mile course open to students in grades 1 to 8 in which the students compete against their peers. Each grade has a female and male champion.

The students pay an entry fee to run, the proceeds from which benefit the Animal Rescue League’s Dedham shelter. Over 170 students participated and raised roughly $1600 for the animals at our shelter . The fourth grade class has been hosting this event for 5 plus years and each year it becomes more successful!

Beth Finn, assistant manager of our Dedham shelter stopped by the “Fun Run” with her dog Oscar to cheer on the students and thank them for their very generous donation.

From all of us at the ARL, thank you to the students and teachers at the Dedham Country Day school for helping animals in need!
