Cashew and Almond
Found a Safe Place to Heal

Just two weeks after their birth, Almond and Cashew tragically lost their mom due to postpartum complications. Because they could no longer rely on their mother for nourishment at this vulnerable stage of life, the puppies required bottle feedings around-the-clock.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston sprang into action to provide these Parson Russell Terriers with constant compassionate care to ensure their health and safety. And, as the weeks passed, this resilient duo made tremendous progress in an experienced foster home. They transitioned to solid food and learned how to walk, and eventually run.

Growing bigger and stronger every day, Almond and Cashew became healthy enough for adoption and are both thriving with their caring new family – together!

Animals like Cashew and Almond deserve a chance at a happy and healthy life.

And, thanks to people like you, the Animal Rescue League of Boston will be here to help them and their owner throughout their lifetime.

Arthur

Received life-saving care

Wounded by another animal, this two-year-old stray cat contracted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), an infection that weakens his immune system. And while FIV is uncurable, caught in time, his condition was able to be managed through medication and other treatment. After four months of healing as an office foster at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Arthur is now happy and healthy in a caring home!

Liam

Rebounded after his rescue

Abandoned by his owners who had moved, Liam was extremely shy and wary of people. Fortunately, Liam found comfort in one of the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s compassionate foster homes. He slowly learned how to trust again and began to fall in love with his foster parent. Not surprisingly, the feeling was mutual, and Liam settled in as a natural part of the family!

Chasper

met a caring new family

This 26-year-old cockatoo had plucked out many of his own feathers due to anxiety and restlessness in his previous living situation. The Animal Rescue League of Boston quickly recognized his behavioral and social needs, and through constant human interaction and game-play, Chasper’s vibrant personality began to shine. It wasn’t too long until he found a suitable home committed to his long-term care!

Noodles & Millie

bonded over a tough situation

Sixteen-year-old Noodles is blind, and leans on his pal Millie for support. After the Animal Rescue League of Boston removed these bonded mini horses from a neglectful situation, they remained by each other’s side throughout their time in foster care. When they were both physically and emotionally ready for adoption, they found the home of their dreams – together!
