Let’s Talk Pets is a series of FREE workshops hosted by the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) for pet owners in the Codman Square neighborhood and beyond. Workshops will focus on subjects, such as basic animal care and hygiene, living with pets and children, winter pet safety, behavior and enrichment exercises, and more!

Basic Care for Birds, Rabbits, Cats, and Dogs

  • Light refreshments and ARL tote for attendees (limited to 1 per family).
  • Topics covered: Cage set up for birds and small animals; basic care and hygiene; importance of physical exercise; behavior myth

Humane Lobby Day @ Massachusetts State House
May 9 @ 10:15 am – 4:00 pm

ARL will focus on informing legislators about how they can help increase awareness about important animal welfare, safety, and health issues among their constituents. There is strength in numbers, so please join the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) and other local and national animal welfare organizations for Humane Lobby Day 2017.

Paw Palooza 2017
Jul 15 – Jul 16 all-day

It’s BAAAACK! Dog will be flying, swimming, diving and entertaining the masses at the 2nd annual Paw Palooza dog festival on July 15 & 16 at Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School. Presented by the Agway of Cape Cod Charitable Foundation, Paw Palooza benefits the Animal Rescue League of Boston and other shelters.

What happens at Paw Palooza and why should you be a part of it?

  • DockDogs (the highly popular and entertaining sport of dock diving) is the featured attraction with competitors and spectators coming from New England and beyond to watch. If you’ve never seen dogs fly, this is your chance!
  • Family/dog/kid-friendly activities include frisbee dog shows, K-9 demos, agility shows, a Doggie University tent, face painting for kids, doggie facials for pups, a raffle, shopping, a puppy pool pavilion, food trucks and much more.
