COVID-19 Update:

On June 14, 2021, Boston Veterinary Care will fully reopen to the community.  Before arriving at the clinic, please follow the below procedure depending on your type of visit:

Clients with appointments - who wish to accompany their pet during their visit

  • Should wait in their car and text (617) 819-5499 when you arrive for their appointment.
  • You will receive a text back when your appointment room is ready. At that time, please proceed inside the lobby where a staff member will greet you.
  • Please limit to 2 clients per appointment.
  • Face coverings are required inside of BVC facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Clients who become ill should call to reschedule their appointment. If you are sick and your pet has an emergency, call us at (617) 226-5605 so we can discuss the appropriate clinical action. We may ask you to have someone else bring your pet in for treatment.

Clients with appointments - who prefer curbside service

  • Should wait in their car and text (617) 819-5499 when they arrive for their appointment.
  • You will receive a text back when your appointment room is ready. At that time, please proceed to the front entrance to drop off your pet with a staff member.  A veterinarian will call to go over results and recommendations along with a cost estimate.  Once you approve and pay by phone, we will bring your pet to you outside.
  • Clients who become ill should call to reschedule their appointment. If you are sick and your pet has an emergency, call us at (617) 226-5605 so we can discuss the appropriate clinical action. We may ask you to have someone else bring your pet in for treatment.

Clients picking up food and medication only - no veterinary appointment

  • Should come directly inside of BVC. You do not need to call or text upon arrival.
  • Face coverings are required inside of BVC facilities for all individuals who are not fully vaccinated.
  • Clients who become ill should call (617) 226-5605 and arrange for someone else to pick up food and medication.

Boston Veterinary Care is now offering Telemedicine

Receive Pet Care from Home

In order to provide our clients with critical veterinary care in the convenience of their own home, BVC is now offering telemedicine appointments right on your cell phone whenever your pet is sick or injured.

To get started, call our front desk at (617) 226-5605 to see if your appointment can be scheduled via telemedicine. Once your appointment is confirmed, download the TeleVet – Remote Pet Care app from the iTunes or Google Play store and create your account with your pet’s personal profile and payment information. At the conclusion of your telemedicine appointment, if our veterinarian determines that your pet needs to come into BVC for a physical exam, the telemedicine appointment fees will be applied as a credit to that visit.

*Only available for current Boston Veterinary Care clients and patients.
