Spring and summer are the busiest and most critical times of year for cats and kittens living outdoors. During “kitten season,” ARL sees a significant increase in tiny animals in need of lifesaving care.
Born outside and exposed to the elements, these vulnerable kittens face illness, injury, and uncertainty. Without someone to care for them, they may be in serious danger.
ARL’s annual Kitten Shower is your chance to help when they need it most. By making a donation, sending much-needed supplies, or attending an event, you can give kittens the care and protection they deserve.
Change the Lives of Cats at Risk
We’ve seen a huge increase in the number of community cats in need of help. Because the need is so great, a generous donor has offered to match all donations for community cats, up to $20,000, now through July 15, 2026! Gifts of $100 or more will be recognized on the Kitten Kuddler Wall of Honor.
Your $9 to help local cats will become $18 and can provide TWICE as many:

Join us for a free, family-friendly afternoon on Sunday July 12, 2026, from 2:00pm-4:00pm at ARL’s Solomon Family Administration Building (10 Anna’s Pl, Dedham) to celebrate kittens and support the tiny babies who need our community most this kitten season!
Enjoy kitten meet and greets, games, cake, and a foster info session for anyone interested in helping kittens in need. We are especially looking for bottle baby fosters and fosters who can care for nursing moms with kittens.
Want to bring a shower gift? We are most in need of kitten formula, blankets, heating discs, and Royal Canin Mother & Babycat food. Financial gifts are also welcome — and right now, donations will be doubled, up to $20,000, to help cats and kittens in need!
Come meet some kittens, learn how to help, and be part of giving vulnerable cats and kittens the chance to grow up safe, healthy, and loved!
Kitten Shower Lunchtime Livestream

Take your lunch break with Blueberry, Goji, and Juniper! ARL’s live kitten cam fundraiser is a cozy, kitten-filled livestream where your donations can unlock toys, treats, enrichment, close-ups, and lunchtime fun while helping vulnerable kittens get the food, foster care, veterinary support, and supplies they need.
Join us live at noon, bring your lunch, and help shower kittens in care with comfort, safety, and love during one of the busiest times of year!
