It’s not just about
helping animals in need.
It’s how we help them thrive.

Arthur received
life-saving care

Two-year-old Arthur was discovered alone on the street with a wounded shoulder, likely a bite from another animal. Fortunately, he was rescued and brought into the Animal Rescue League of Boston for help – just in time. Initial exams and testing not only showed the extent of his injury, but also revealed a more concerning finding – Arthur had Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), an infection that weakens his immune system.

Although FIV is uncurable, it can be managed through medication and veterinary treatment. Friendly and talkative, Arthur was a great candidate to be placed as an office foster pet while he healed. Four months later, he was medically cleared for adoption and is now thriving in a caring home!

Animals like Arthur deserve a chance at a happy and healthy life.

And, thanks to people like you, the Animal Rescue League of Boston will be here to help him and his owner throughout his lifetime.
