Community Veterinary Services

The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s (ARL)  Community Veterinary Services serves animals and their families in the communities where they live. The Spay Waggin’, a mobile veterinary surgical unit, provides low cost spay and neuter services to animals and people in Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod.  The Community Surgical Clinic provides both veterinary and surgical services twice weekly at our Dedham location to animals and people in need, including the Community Cat Program. The Wellness Waggin’ is a pet wellness clinic for residents of Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, Hyde Park, and East Boston.

Community Surgical Clinic

The Community Surgical Clinic, located at ARL’s Dedham Animal Care & Adoption Center, provides low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs by using a voucher provided by the Massachusetts Animal Fund. Vouchers are available based on need through your local animal control officer.

This low-cost clinic is for pet owners who have received a Massachusetts Animal Fund Voucher from their local animal control officer and for local animal shelters that need assistance with spay and neuter surgeries for the animals in their care. Surgeries are by appointment only.

ARL’s Community Surgical Clinic Accepts:

      • Dogs between the ages of 2 months and 7 years of age and up to 100 lbs.
      • Cats between the ages of 2 months and 10 years of age.
