2020 Boston Marathon®
Run for the Animal Rescue League of Boston!
Update May 29, 2020: You may have heard, the 124th Boston Marathon® has been cancelled and will be held as a virtual event. Though we are disappointed, we know this is in the best interest of all the runners and the City of Boston. We look forward to developing a plan to support our wonderful runners Molly and Corey as they take on 26.2 miles for animals in need virtually. If you would like to show them some love, please scroll down to read more about them and to make a donation.
Meet our Team!
Corey and Molly have made the ultimate New Year’s resolution—to run the Boston Marathon and raise $26,200 for animals in need!
These two extraordinary individuals have been an advocate for animals throughout their lives — even adopting their furry-friends from the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL), and have chosen to run for the ARL this year.
We can’t thank them enough for supporting our efforts at ARL and wish them the best of luck!
“I am running my first marathon for a cause I care very deeply about.
I know this will be an amazingly rewarding experience and a tough one. I will need the help of all of you to keep me going but also to help raise the funds! This organization truly has a special place in my heart. Not only do I work for it, but also it has given me one of the greatest joys in my life, my rabbit Chestnut!”
“This time I will be running 26.2 (well, really a lot more than that if we are counting training miles) for the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL). If you have met me, one of the first things you likely have learned about me is my love of animals and my commitment to advocating for them.
This love started at a very young age. I have since adopted two of my own rescue cats – Manny and Cleo. They are fortunate enough to have found their FURever home, where they are loved, cared for, and receive the medical attention they need. Isn’t this the life every animal deserves?”
