Clear the Shelters
The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s (ARL) Animal Care & Adoption Center locations in Boston, Cape Cod (Brewster), and Dedham will be participating in NBC’s annual Clear the Shelters campaign to help promote pet adoption and donations.
During the month of August, adoption fees for rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, and parakeets will be waived, and adoption fees for large adult dogs, those one year or old that are over 40 lbs., will be reduced by $200.

Animal Care & Adoption Center Hours:
Mondays & Holidays: Closed
Tuesdays: By appointment only from 1:00PM – 6:00PM
Wednesdays-Sundays: Open from 1:00PM – 6:00PM
The Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center remains open during construction. Beginning July 6, the main entrance will be temporarily closed. Please follow posted signage to access the center through the designated entrance.
During construction, there is no parking available for visitors as our Tremont Street parking lot is closed.

ARL’s Jeffs Fund helps offset the cost of waived or reduced adoption fees to help animals who may be overlooked due to their medical needs, age, or personality find the homes they deserve. The Fund also supports impactful adoption events like Clear the Shelters, helping even more animals get home.
