The Way Home Screening

Join us at the Chatham Orpheum Theatre on Thursday, August 18, at 7:00pm, for a screening of The Way Home, a Century of Finding Loving Companions for Shelter Animals. A documentary by Geoff Bassett and Kim Roderiques, generously funded by Rockland Trust.

Following the film will be a panel discussion about the human/animal bond, moderated by Joseph Carr, Founder/Vintner Joseph Carr Winery Napa Valley California; Philanthropist to animal welfare.

Special guests include:

  • Dr. Edward Schettino, President & CEO of the Animal Rescue League of Boston
  • Steven Xiarhos, retired deputy Chief of Police at YPD; Currently: State Representative of the 5th District in Barnstable County who was integral in getting Nero’s Law passed
  • Derek Hill, Former U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command Raider and Government Clandestine Services Operator
  • Peter McClelland, Yarmouth Police K9 Officer; Recognized as the premier Police K9 handler and trainer in New England Law Enforcement
  • Sarah McCracken, Executive Director, NE Region; Dogs For Better Lives
  • Kat Pannill, Development Manager of WE CAN and Former Puppy Raiser for Guiding Eyes
