For the 29th year, the Mayor's Enchanted Trolley Tour will continue the festive tradition of lighting holiday trees while bringing holiday spirit to children across Boston. The event is sponsored by Bank of America, and includes visits with Santa, tree lightings, and more. This year, the Mayor's Enchanted Trolley Tour will start on Saturday, December 6, and end on Sunday, December 7, in neighborhoods throughout

  • Hill’s “Sweet 16” Adoption Event

    The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) teaming up with Hill's Pet Nutrition for an adoption campaign from December 9 through December 14, 2025. The event is part of Hill’s “Sweet 16 Million Adoptions Celebration,” which honors the milestone of 16 million pet adoptions supported by the Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love program since its inception in 2002. The Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love program provides discounted, science-led nutrition to over 1,000 North American animal shelters every day, including for the dogs and cats at ARL As a proud partner of the program, ARL is excited to join shelters nationwide

  • South End Holiday Stroll

    South End Business Alliance warmly invites you to our annual South End Holiday Stroll on Wednesday, December 10th from 4–8pm! The Animal Rescue League of Boston will be “popping-up” at Polkadog located at 256 Shawmut Avenue with information about our adoptable animals, dog training courses, Boston Veterinary Care (ARL’s outpatient clinic with a mission), and more! This festive evening is a celebration of shopping, dining and holiday cheer throughout Boston's South End. Come explore beautifully decorated shops, enjoy seasonal bites + drinks, and find unique holiday gifts.   • Holiday Dog Adoption Event at Victory Point in Marina Bay

    Join the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) and Quincy Animal Shelter for a festive holiday adoption event at Victory Point Bar & Grill on December 20, 2025, from 12–2pm! Stop by the function room to meet adorable adoptable dogs, chat with shelter staff, and learn how you can make a difference this season. We’ll also be accepting donations of essential pet supplies to help animals in need.

  • The New England Pawtriots Dog Food Drive

    The Patriots Foundation is hosting a Dog Food Drive during the Week 18 home game against Miami. Fans are invited to bring dog food to the collection boxes located outside Gillette Stadium on January 4 at 4:25pm. Through the Pawtriots program, every donation helps provide nourishment and comfort to dogs as they wait for their new homes at the Patriots Foundation’s partner shelters, including the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Thank you to the Pawtriots, a special initiative by the Kraft Family and the New England Patriots Foundation, for supporting dogs across New England!
