We’re joining our community partner Zoo New England for the global “Gorillas on the Line” mobile phone recycling challenge! Did you know… Cell phones contain coltan, a material mined from the western lowland gorilla's natural habitat. Because of the major cell phone demand, the Congo’s coltan mining business has increased rapidly in recent years. This has led to dramatic destruction of the natural habitat of great apes, bringing this species closer to extinction. When recycled, old electronics can have a major impact on the lives of gorillas. Dedham Rabies & Microchip Clinic

The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) and the Town of Dedham will be hosting a rabies vaccine and microchip clinic on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 10:00am-2:00pm at ARL's Dedham Administrative Building, 10 Anna’s Pl. No appointments are needed, walk-ins are welcome. 2024 Dedham Dog Licensing will also be available on-site (rabies certificate required for licensing). All dogs must be leashed, all cats must be inside pet carriers, and aggressive dogs must be muzzled. All dogs must be under owner/keeper control. Free for Dedham residents $10 rabies vaccine for non-residents $10 microchips for all attendees
