**COVID-19 Update: We have been humbled by our community members’ offers to volunteer and foster for ARL during this uncertain time. While we appreciate all of the support, due to Covid-19 we are not adding new volunteers and foster parents at this time. Please be assured that our current staff, volunteers and foster parents are diligently taking care of our animals. Check back on our website routinely for updates as to when we can safely begin to our add new members to our volunteer and foster care programs again. Thank you again for your continued care of ARL and it’s programs.**

Group Volunteering

The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) welcomes local businesses, schools, and organizations that are looking to volunteer their time as a group to help animals in need.

While working directly with ARL’s shelter animals is not always possible, our Animal Care & Adoption Centers and administrative offices often need volunteers to help with other important tasks, such as shelter upkeep and organization, to general office support, and much more!

Current Group Volunteer Opportunities

Due to Covid-19, we are not adding new volunteers and foster parents at this time.

Group Volunteer Guidelines

Before completing and submitting a group volunteer application, please note the following guidelines:

  • Upon acceptance of your application, a $500.00 minimum donation is required upfront for groups that would like to fulfill one of ARL’s volunteer opportunities.
  • We can accept groups of up to 15 people at one time. If your group is larger than 15, it may still be possible to accommodate you on different days.
  • All group participants must be at least 16 years of age and must be willing to sign a 1-day liability and photography waiver.

Group Volunteer & Application Agreement

Due to the high volume of requests that ARL receives for group volunteer opportunities, a completed Application & Agreement form is required for your group to be considered.

An ARL staff member will review your application and contact you within 2 weeks of submission.

**Applications are currently closed.**
