Rabies Clinics

The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) offers affordable and accessible rabies clinics to pet owners
in Greater Boston and on Cape Cod.

The ARL’s rabies clinics take place in the Spring in Boston, Dedham, and Brewster.
Visit our calendar of events for upcoming clinics.

Rabies is a viral disease that can affect all mammals, including humans. The virus attacks the central nervous system and can be secreted in saliva. Infected animals show no fear of humans, drool and act in an agitated fashion.

In Massachusetts, all indoor and outdoor dogs, cats, and ferrets are required by law to be vaccinated against rabies.

The ARL works to increase rabies vaccination rates in the state in a variety of ways.  The ARL vaccinates every adoptable dog, cat and ferret against rabies. The ARL’s Spay Waggin’ also offers vaccinations to clients,
and all feral cats at our Fix A Feral clinics receive a rabies vaccination.

Please make sure your pets are vaccinated!
