The South End Buttery is welcoming Spring back with a YAPPY HOUR! On Thursday, May 25 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) and other local organizations will be gathered at the Shawmut Avenue patio & Market Place. City of Boston Low-Cost Rabies Clinic

BCYF Tobin Community Center 1481 Tremont St, Roxbury

The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is teaming up with the City of Boston to provide low-cost rabies vaccines on Saturday, June 3 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the BCYF Tobin Community Center located at 1481 Tremont St, Roxbury, MA. This clinic is first come, first served, no appointments are needed. The Boston Pride Parade is an event that ARL is proud to be a part of year after year! The massive parade route cuts through the heart of downtown Boston, ending at City Hall Plaza. Small Animal Adopt-a-thon

Thinking of adding a small animal to your family? Join us across our three Animal Care & Adoption Centers for a Small Animal Adopt-a-thon in honor of Clear the Shelters, a national pet adoption campaign. From August 10 through August 13, our small animal adoption fees will be waived*—they may be small, but they will hold a big place in your heart. ARL’s Adoption Forward process will remain the same and our adoption team will require prospective adopters to bring a photo of the cage their pet will live in to ensure it meets our requirements. Doggone Halloween Pet Parade

This free event on Saturday, October 28, from 12-3 pm helps put our neighborhood in the Halloween spirit, as the public showcase their beloved--and costumed--canines.  Our panel of judges will declare winners in the categories of Best Costume, Scariest Costume, Cutest Costume, Best Dog & Human Duo, and Best Dog & Child Duo.  Fantastic prizes, including hotel stays and gift baskets, from the neighborhood will be up for grabs! As part of the free family-friendly fun, face-painters and caricature artists will be on Summer Street to complement an array of dog-themed vendors.
