    Join us in a Walk for Health Equity, hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston on June 21, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Boston Common. This citywide event is committed to closing the life expectancy and wellness gaps. The walk will take place rain or shine.   • Pet Adoption Night at Boston Children’s Museum

    Join us at Boston Children’s Museum for a special Pet Adoption Night on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM! Meet adoptable animals, chat with shelter volunteers and representatives from local rescue organizations, create custom pet bandanas, and learn how you can take the first step toward welcoming a new furry friend into your home.     ARL is happy to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the Buffalo Exchange Tokens for Bags® program from July through December 2025. You can now support ARL just by shopping at Buffalo Exchange in Somerville and in Brookline. Instead of a plastic bag, the Tokens for Bags® program offers every customer who makes a purchase one “token” valued at five cents (the cost to produce a bag) to donate to one of several local charities selected by the store.     Visit ARL's table at the "Footprints of Boston" event at the iconic Brewer Fountain on the Boston Common on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 12pm - 8pm. Learn more about ARL's adoptable animals and critical programs aimed at keeping pets together with their families. Adoptable dogs from ARL's Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center may also be stopping by (weather pending). Footprints of Boston is a 14-week cultural activation series, where local businesses, creatives, artisans, and community groups to bring their flavor, craft, or cause to the heart of the city of Boston.
